A -- EM ACTUATOR CONTROL ALGORITHMS SOL DAAE0796RX154 POC POC: Jenny Sterba (810) 574-6792 The U.S. Army tank-automotive and armaments command isproposing to award to the University of Texas at Austin, Center for electromechanics (CEM-UT), of Austin Texas . This action will be performed in a sole source basis. This effort will be performed in parallel with the exis ting actuator development project. This effort builds on two (2) previous contracts with the Army for EM suspension components and integrates control algorithms that do not require advanced terrain look-ahead knowledge. The contractor shall investigate and develop optimal learning and state observer algorithms for Electro-magnetic suspension control. The contractor shall investigate and develop phase compensated smoothing and averaging algorithms. The contractor shall test the algorithms developed about the CEM-UT four-corner test rig.
