The project entails construction of an Infantry Platoon Battle Course (IPBC) Range consisting of six wartime objectives. Targets and structures required downrange are 43 Stationary Infantry Target (SIT) emplacements, 14 Infantry Moving Target (IMT) emplacements, 6 Stationary Armor Target (SAT) emplacements, one Armor Moving Target Carrier (AMTC) emplacement, 8 Mortar Simulator Device (MSD) emplacements, 43 Infantry Hostile Fire Simulator (IHFS) device emplacements, 9 machinegun bunkers, one assault/defend house, one trench, and one misfire pit. Primary facilities include all construction within the perimeter of the range complex and consist of control tower, latrine, general instruction/operations/storage building, ammunition breakdown building, bleacher enclosure, covered mess, maintenance trails, parking areas, Target emplacements, bunkers, trenches, helicopter pad, secondary power and data distribution systems, information systems, and site improvements. Demolish an unserviceable control tower and target shed (400 SF). Heating and cooling of the control tower will be provided by a 3-ton package unit. Support facilities include all construction outside the perimeter of the range complex, which consists of extending the access road and the primary power (1.2 miles). The total construction cost of the project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Duration of the project is 580 calendar days from the receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
