Pate, Contracting Officer, (619)553-3856 or Plan Issue, (619)553-4331 PRESOLICITATION NOTICE--The work includes installation of water meters, backflow prevention devices and double check valves with hose bibbs at various sites, buildings, and irrigation systems which includes: saw cutting, site demolition, demolition work involving asbestos cement piping, excavation and backfilling, concrete, asphalt concrete paving, exterior water distribution systems, plumbing systems, landscape restoration, topsoil placement, replacement of an existing 225 KVA pad mount transformer with a 225 KVA pad mount substation, underground electrical work, fiberoptics data transmission for exterior system, utility control system, and incidental related work, complete and ready for use.--Estimated Cost Range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.--Firm Fixed Price Contract.--Contract duration is 180 calendar days.--This proposed contract will be unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.--The Standard Industrial Code is 1623 and the Small Business Size Standard is $17 Million.--Bids will be considered from all responsible sources.--This project will be distributed as an Electronic Bid Set. The Solicitation Package (plans and specifications) has been placed on Compact Disk-Read Only Memory (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge to prospective bidders. Plans and specifications will NOT be provided in a printed hard copy format.--The CD-ROM contains a simple windows application launcher for the software applications. All applications contained on the CD-ROM can be run from the CD-ROM. No installation is required.--The minimum hardware requirements necessary to run this application are 486/66 PC, 8 or 16MB RAM, CD-ROM Drive, and VGA Display.--The minimum software requirements necessary to run this application are MS Windows 3.1, 3.11 for Work Groups, 95 or NT.--Request the CD-ROM or view and/or download the plans and specifications from the Internet at the following address: http://cadlib.wes.army.mil/contract--Prospective bidders MUST REGISTER to receive a CD-ROM and be placed on the Plan Holders List.
