Z -- RENOVATE PSD AREA SOL N62472-96-Q-6458 POC Mark Root, Procurement Clerk. It is the declared and acknowledged intention and meaning of this solicitation to renovate PSD area including removal of two 30' hallway center walls, levaing existing support posts and boxing in; removal of exisiting wall partitions, floor tile, suspended ceiling, lights, switches and removal of existing wall paneling. New work shall include new office partitions, phone/electrical relocations, isolated ground circuits, new suspended ceiling, carpet, tile new hot water baseboard radiator covers, and new wall covering. The existing alarm system shall be utilized and sensors shall be relocated. Existing safes shall be reloated and new window screen guards shall be installed, with three guards adapted for window mounted A/C unit. Existing storeroom shall be converted to a women's bathroom including fixtures, lights, paint, floor and all related appurtenances. A small exhaust system activated by ceiling t-stat shall be installed in office areas. The existing sprinkler/fire alarm system shall be evaluated and determine what modifications are required. Some rooms have asbestos floor tiles and there is possible lead paint on door jams and windows. Floor tiles will be tested for asbestos and paint tested for lead by the government. Work is located at the Naval Security Group Activity, Winter Harbor, Maine. The cost range for this project is $25,000 - $100,000. The sic code for this solicitation is 1542; the FSC Code is Z111.
