Carderock Division Naval Surface Warfare Center's (CDNSWC) requirement falls under the new Simplified Acquisition Procedures. We require a high resolution underwater digital still camera, with strobe and fully terminated on both ends 600ft length ready for use with DSC 5010 camera. The camera shall be: equipped with CCD image sensor, front illuminated, full frame with 1524X1024 photosensitive pixel array, 9.0 um pixel size, 1000X anti blooming standard with color imaging. It shall have non-interlaced scanning with a dynamic range of 60db at the input of the a/d converter or better. The exposure settings shall be variable from 10ms to 1 second or better. It will be capable of producing at least 1 imagine every 5 seconds. The imager will provide at least 1.25 million pixels of info and resolution will be at least 800 horizontal lines. It shall have an equivalent film speed from 60 to 750 ASA with 8 bit resolution, color or monochrome or better. The camera will be able to operate down to a water depth of 1000 meters. It will have an operating temp of 0 to 30 deg. C. It shall be able to withstand 20g shock and vibration of 3g, sinusoidal from 5 to 125Hz. Power requirements shall be 24VDC at no more than 45watts.
