99 -- TECOM ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCY TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM, ''MEETING YOUR NEEDS WITH AI'' SOL CBD000-9608-0007 POC TRI-S, Inc 410-273-9414 (Site Code DAAD05) (Site Code DAAD05) The U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (TECOM) in conjunction with the U.S. Army Artificial Intelligence Center is sponsoring TAITS-96 on September 10, 11, and 12 at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (Kossiakoff Center), Laurel, Maryland. TAITS-96 promises an opportunity to explore the latest advances in AI with specific focus on applications to meet military requirements. Topics include Expert Systems, Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms. Conferees may elect to attend both selected tutorial sessions on 10 September and presentation of technical papers on the 11th and 12th, or just come for the presentations. THe keynote address (morning of 11 September) will be delivered by Dr. Edward Feigenbaum, Chief Scientist, USAF. Dr. Feigenbaum is considered to be the ''father of expert systems''.
