A -- CLOUDS AND AEROSOLS LIDAR RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM SOL NRA 96-LARC-1 DUE 101896 POC Scott Ellis, (757) 864-1651. The NASA Langley Research Center will solicit research proposals in NASA Research Announcement (NRA) 96-LaRC-1 on or about September 3, 1996, for advanced lidar technologies that will enhance current and future spaceborne lidar instruments. Specifically, this announcement solicits proposals for: advanced laser components, advanced laser systems, advanced optical filters, advanced photo detectors, and advanced detection electronics. Participation in this NRA is open to all individuals and categories of foreign and domestic organizations, including industry, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, NASA Centers and other Government Agencies. Proposers may respond with innovative concepts in any or all of the listed technology areas. Technical evaluation will be conducted through a peer review process by discipline specialists within and outside of NASA. Approximately $750K has been allocated for disbursement among those proposals selected for award by the review committee. Proposers may seek all or part of this funding allotment. Cost sharing agreements may be proposed.
