of performance for contract number DTRS57-93-00105 with the Unversity
of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA for eight months. A follow on
competitive procurement for similar work is in process for task order
type R&D support relating to vehicle crashworthiness and occupant
protection strategies. A seperate synopsis will be published for this
follow on competitive action. The contractor shall perform analyses
that will define existing or projected risks, fatalities, and injuries
based on the national accident statistics, vehicle characteristics and
trends, and other relevants factors. Contractor is requried to have
capabilities and experience in occupant sled testing and knowledge of
vehicle crashworthiness engineering and occupant protection
strategies.For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small
and Business and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a
program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business
enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
