This project involves the design, construction and installation of a negative pressure room in building 1142, on Hanscom AFB, MA. The principle items of work include, but are not limited to: Design and submit drawings and specifications for a negative pressure furnace room approximately 10'W x 10'D x 6'H, Demo existing structure as required, provide electric service from existing panel, Provide CES Foamwall 3.5 insulated panel with glass/aluminum door and removable wall section and viewing window, provide 2 spark proof exhaust systems, provide roof mounted spark proof exhaust system and ductwork, provide Class 1 Division 2 electrical fixtures and connections, provide digital control system that monitors the room status, provide heat/smoke detector, provide necessary trim and accessories. The period of performance will be ninety (90) days from Notice to Proceed. This project is a firm fixed price simplified acquisition procedure. The site visit is scheduled for 10:00am local time, on 28AUG96. Quotes are due at 12:00pm local time on 04SEP96. The Statement of Work will be provided at the site visit.
