The principle features of work consist of but are not limited to the following: NKAK 90-1026 (a) Construct new concrete trench drain with 12'' trench grate and frame. (b) Install new steel transfer piping, concrete supports, and valves. (c) Construct new drainage swale from trench drain to existing ditch for rainwater runoff. NKAK 93-1152 (a) Demolition and disposal of existing 8'' thick concrete pavement (b) Construct 8'' thick concrete pavement with integral curbing to retain spills. A gravel base course will be allowed to remain under the concrete pavement where it presently exists. Provide concrete grated trench drain and underground containment basin to trap accidental spill of 10,000 gallons of JP-8 fuel (c) Install 8'' ductile iron underground drainage pipe from trench drain to underground containment basin; install valve at containment basin (d) Relocate covered fuel transfer station from south side of drive to north side of drive within the new pavement with intergral paving to contain spills from the transfer station. This is a firm fixed price contract. The estimated cost of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The performance period will be 120 days. This procurement is being issued on an unrestricted basis with small disadvantaged business evaluation preference. This office proposes to issue IFB F03602-96-B0015 on or about 15 Aug 96.
