Work to be accomplished under contract consists of the furnishing and installation of six types of shoreline protection. The six types of protection are approximately 380 feet of timber fence (2 configurations), 650 feet of geogrid fence (3 configurations), and 100 feet of pyramat reinforcement. The contract will also include the furnishing, transporting, and planting of approximately 300 smooth cordgrass (Spartina alterniflora), Louisiana coastal ecotype species. The estimated cost of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. The period of performance is 60 calendar days. IFB packages will be available on or about August 28, 1996.
