Item 0002 The following information is provided to do a Market Survey of Industry to determine potential contractors who have the skills, experience and knowledge required to successfully provide this item. New sources are sought for a small, custom, lead-acid battery cell used in an airborne 16 VDC battery application. The battery must meet the form, fit, and functionally replace the current 16 VDC battery (approximate dimensions 5.3''W x 5.2'' H x 4.5''D) while still meeting the appropriately modified physical and electrical requirements of the cell specification. A first article is projected to be completed and available for testing by January 1998 with follow-on production articles by July 1998. This program is planned for usage of 150 each year through year 2020.
