R -- ENGINEERING AND ACQUISITION SUPPORT SCVS FOR PREDATOR POC Contact, Lori M. Simms, Phone (703)604-0903 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole source contract to the Endmark Corporation of 1215 Jefferson Davis Highway, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22202 for Medium Altitude Endurance UAV (Predator) Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrator (ACTD) transition to production support. This effort requires current and complete knowledge of all the ACTD processes as well as the newly evolving transition to production processes that are evolving for ACTD programs. The Predator program is in the process of transitioning from ACTD to production. As documented below, at this crucial junction of the program, no other contractor is in a position to take over this effort without adversely affecting the quality and timeliness of the support and the schedule of the transition program. Because this support is crucial to this particular phase of the program, the intended contract will not exceed 12 months in length and will be at the minimal level of effort of five staff years. The Endmark Corporation has been an integral member of the Predator ACTD team from its inception. Endmark provided the engineering and acquisition documentation support to the program and the ACTD process that is critical to the successful transition of the Predator Program form ACTD stage to the production stage. Additionally, Endmark is providing a substantial amount of the transition to production expertise for this program and for all ACTDs, in Operatational Requirements Documents and how to translate these requirements from ACTD to production and ensure all other acquisition related documentation is likewise updated correctly, makes the use of another contractor impossible at this stage of the program.
