Z -- BLDG. 134, UPGRADE A/C SYSTEM SOL IFB 556-28-96 DUE 092096 POC Contracting Officer, Pamela Smith, (847) 578-3722 Contractor shall provide the necessary material, equipment, tools, supplies, labor, services and supervision to Upgrade the A/C System of Building l34 at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, North Chicago, Illinois. Work is to tie in with the Central Chiller System, tapping of existing chilled water line, installation of cooling coils, drain pans and lines, installation of all necessary pipe, fittings and insulation, installation of pumps, filters, controls and motors in accordance with the solicitation specifications. The estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The completion time for this project is 120 calendar days after receipt of a notice to proceed. A bid guarantee is required in an amount, not less than 20% of the bid price. This is an unrestricted procurement available to all responsible sources. A site visit is scheduled for 9/5/96 at 10:00am local time, and all bidders are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed.
