Z -- LIGHTNING PROTECTION SYSTEM SOL IFB 556-27-96 DUE 092096 POC Contracting Officer, Pamela Smith, (847) 578-3722 Contractor shall provide the necessary material, equipment, tools, supplies, labor, services and supervision to provide a Lightning Protection System at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, North Chicago, Illinois. Work is to provide and install seven complete master labeled lightning protection systems on Buildings 6, 7, 65, 66, l24, l25 and l26, and repair and upgrade the existing lightning protection system on Building 4, in accordance with the solicitation drawings and specifications. The estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The completion time for this project is l80 calendar days after receipt of a notice to proceed. A bid guarantee is required in an amount, not less than 20% of the bid price. This is an unrestricted procurement available to all responsible sources. Bid documents will be available on 8/21/96, by written request to the Contracting Officer or by facsimile to (847) 578-3825. Telephone requests will not be accepted. A site visit is scheduled for 9/12/96 at 9:00am local time, and all bidders are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed.
