66 -- INSTRUMENTATION FOR ANTHROPOMORPHIC TEST DUMMIES SOL DTNH22-96-R-08263 POC Robin Esser, Contracting Officer at (513) 666-4511 The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Vehicle Research and Test Center requires instrumentation for a Hybrid III three-year-old child dummy, a Hybrid III six-year-old child dummy and an upper neck load cell for a 50th percentile Hybrid III dummy. The instrumentation for the six-year-old include: neck load cell, lower neck load cell, pair of iliac load cells and two single channel femur load cells. The instrumentation for the three-year- old include: neck load cell, lower neck load cell, shoulder load cell, pubic load cell, acetabulum load cell. A six-channel upper neck load cell is also required for a 50th percentile Hybrid III dummy. The instrumentation required was developed by Robert A. Denton, Inc. No design specifications are available to the public. The Government intends to negotiate a firm-fixed-price contract to R. A. Denton, Inc. for the instrumentation required. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor is a RFP available. Interested parties believing they are capable of providing this requirement must respond to this notice in writing within fifteen (15) days after its appearance in the CBD. Interested parties must demonstrate proven capability to manufacture the parts described.
