Officer, (301) 402-4509. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) requires
delivery and installation of a Lambda DG-4 Ultra High Speed Filter
Based Illumination System from Univeral Imaging Inc., 502 Brandywine
Parkway, West Chester, PA 19380 for their existing universal imaging
metamorph. The Mambrane Structure and Function section is involved in
studying the Cell biology of virus entry, replication and pathogenesis.
This involves the elucidation of the mechanisms of HIV-1 infection and
development of novel approaches for therapy of AIDS. The Universal
Imaging equipment provides a system that is capable to open/close the
shutter in 0.5 milliseconds which is very crucial for the data
collection on HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein-mediated fusion. This notice
of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, if any
interested party believes they can meet the above, they may submit a
statement of capabilities. Information furnished shall include enough
material, in sufficient detail, to perform a proper evaluation of their
ability to perform and must be received within 20 days of the
