Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) intends to purchase a state-of-the-art soft x-ray grating chamber for Brookhaven's National Synchrotron Light Beamline X13A. The reason that this grating chamber is state-of-the-art is the very tight mechanical tolerances on all motions of the grating that it houses, especially the scanangle rotation. The grating chamber will house two soft x-ray diffraction gratings (the gratings themselves will be procured separately).
