FISC Norfolk Philadelphia intends to acquire, on a sole source basis, software updates and maintenance support for approximately 600 Informix software licenses for the period 1 Oct 1996 through 30 Sep 1997 for Naval Command, Control, and Ocean Surveillance Center (NCCOSC) Division Detachment, Philadelphia. The software is located at various ship and shore facilities throughout the world. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Informix, Inc. as the only known source with the required capability to deliver these items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for information received.
