BEP-96-42 DUE 092396 POC Contact Larry W. McCain, Contract Specialist,
202/874-3139. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to
issue a solicitation for the purchase of Pressure Sensitive Currency
Bundle and Cashpack Labels. The lables shall be manufactured in
accordance with the specification: L: PSC-1F, dated July 11, 1996. The
labels are to be delivered in a 100K printed process set, which
consists of 3,200 bundle and/or 200 cashpack labels and a 200K printed
process set, which consists of 6,400 bundle and 400 cashpack labels.
Blank label sets in rolls for thermal transfer printers and fanfold in
cartons for tractor drive printers may also be required. The printed
labeling information is generated through the use of algorithms, which
are supplied by the BEP. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm
Fixed-Price, Requirements contract resulting from this solicitation.
The period of performance is for one (1) base year and three (3) option
years. The solicitation will be available on or about September 20,
1996. Interested firms must submit a written request to Larry W.
McCain, Contract Specialist. All interested firms are required to
provide the size status of their company (i.e., Large, Small, Minority,
Women-Owned) with their written request. Telephone requests will not be
accepted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be
