U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency (ACDA) has been notified that
the Provisional Technical Secretariat (PTS) for the Organization for
the Prohibition for Chemical Weapons (OPCW), a new international
organization created by the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), is
seeking to identify companies qualified to develop an information
system for confidential data declarations. The PTS has requested that
each Member State identify potential companies interested in
supply/developing this system. Interested companies must have the
following areas of expertise: system design and development in a
secured trusted environment; commercial and governmental data
management in a database management system such as Sybase, Ingress, and
Oracle; and integrated information systems with emphasis upon C/S,
LANs, MS, NT, UNIX based systems. Interested companies will be required
to complete a questionnaire and return it to the PTS in The Hague, The
Netherlands. Requests for the questionnaire can be made by calling
either POC. Upon receipt of the questionnaires, the PTS will compile a
tender list. The deadline for responses from interested companies is
