The Officer in Charge requires all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation and management to provide guard services at the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Cheatham Annex, Wiliamsburg, Virginia and the Craney Island Fuel Terminal, Portsmouth Virginia. The contractor and all contractor employees assigned to perform guard services under this contract must pass a favorable National Agency Check and possess a secret security clearance. The contract will require armed and unarmed guards. Work is to be accomplished by means of a Combination Firm Fixed Price/Indefinite Quantity type contract. The contract term is for a period of one year. The Government shall have the option to extend the term of the contract services for additional periods of one to twelve months not to exceed 60 months. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 7381 Detective, Guard and Armored Car Services. The proposed procurement listed herein has been accepted by the Small Business Administration for competition in the 8(a) program. The subject procurement is restricted to those firms eligible under the small business administration 8(a) program that are considered in the transitional stage. All eligible transitional 8(a) firms are encouraged to submit a request for the solicitation. With your request you must submit documentation from your respective small business administration representative stating that you are in the transitional phase of the program. If this documentation is not received with your request a solicitation package will not be sent to your firm. Estimated Bid Opening Date is 25 September 1996.
