The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) Construction of a new single story 7,800 SF building and a 1,360 SF secure maintenance addition, both of which are adjacent and will be coordinated with an existing building, consisting of CMU with brick veneer, EPDM roof, VAV reheat HVAC with some humidification, special electrical systems including 400 Hz via 225A plug-in bus ducts, coordination of radio and computer systems, and fire detection and sprinkler system. Interior consists of administration and office type rooms, secure operations rooms in the Squadron Operations Facility interior, and the secure maintenance room in the Addition to the Avionics shop interior. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a August 23, 1996. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
