The work to be performed under this acquisition consists of stabilizing ten islands by various methods. Access to the islands will be across the frozen lake surface. The work includes earthwork and construction for approximately 450 linear feet of concrete box breakwater modules, 475 linear feet of concrete pipe bulkheads, 1,155 linear feet of dumped riprap, 5,875 linear feet of riprap revetment, 3,135 linear feet of riprap windrow and miscellaneous topsoiling/seeding. The estimated price range of the work is $500,001 to $1,000,000. The work is situated near Coleharbor, North Dakota in McLean County. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available August 30, 1996. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before September 19, 1996. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for October 01, 1996 at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Dakotas Area Office, 304 East Broadway, Bismarck North Dakota. The contract completion time is approximately 3 months. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each.
