The Little Mountain facility is a state-of-the-art AFMC laboratory dedicated to simulation testing of nuclear hardness, survivability, reliability, and electromagnetic compatibility of defense systems and is operated by defense contractors. It is located approximately 18 miles west of Ogden, Utah. This Air Force facility has 99,995 sq ft of floor space, covers 731 acres, and maintains a residual value of approximately $75 M in buildings, equipment, and property. Under the proposed contract, operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of all site utilities and facilities would be contractor provided services. Contractor's area of responsibility would include two boilers; steam lines; climate temperature controls and associated equipment; all potable and industrial water mains, valves, and a million gallon reservoir for on-site fire hydrants and industrial service mains; sanitary sewer mains and sewage septic tank system; building water, air and sewer service lines and associated fixtures and equipment; air conditioning systems, cooling towers, and air compressors. The proposed contract would also include the following services: minor repairs on structure damage; locksmith work, including key control, doors, etc.; operation/management of site mogas and diesel distribution system; snow removal for all roads and parking lots; roads and grounds maintenance; emergency support and assistance to on-site contractors; and management of hazardous material and chemical storage and waste control program. Contractor must be available to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
