The principal components of the work include: Approximately 640,000 lbs of extruded, frozen, semi-moist fish feed for fingerling and smelt size salmon. Feed shall contain high levels of best quality fish protein and low phosphorus with a shelf-life of 90 days at 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Feed shall be packed in 50 pound sealed and lined paper bags. Delivery F.O.B. Trinity River Fish and Hatchery near Lewiston, California and Nimbus Fish Hatchery, near Folsom, California. Contract will be on an indefinite delivery and quantity basis for delivery as requested during a 12-month period from approximately October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1997, with two 1-year options. Solicitation will be issued approximately August 20, 1996, and offers will be due 30 days thereafter.
