Administration (SSA) intends to issue a request for pricing to the
Source Recovery Company of Conyers, GA to provide source re- creation
services on approximately 10-50 COBOL and ALC programs. SSA will
identify specific modules, in groups of five (5) or more on a flow
basis, not- to-exceed one (1) year. SSA seeks the following results: 1)
the assembler code must be able to be submitted to the IBM assembler
and processed without errors; 2) the COBOL code must be able to be
submitted to the IBM compiler and processed without errors; 3) the
object code must be able to be link edited into load modules and 4) the
load modules must accept the same inputs and create the same outputs as
the current load modules. SSA will issue the modules to the contractor
and the contractor shall return to SSA usable/compilable source codes
within 90 calendar days of submission. Source Recovery Company is the
only known source of this service. However, all vendors capable of
providing this service are invited to submit complete information,
pricing, descriptive literature (GSA Schedules if applicable) within 15
days after date of this publication. Any such qualified vendors will be
considered when the request for pricing is issued. An award is
anticipated on or before September 30, 1996. This is not a request for
proposal or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests
for copies of a solicitation in response hereto will not be honored or
acknowledged. The Government will not pay for information submitted in
