The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has a requirement to request the services of a contractor to provide turn-key construction services, such as labor and materials which includes carpentry, construction of new partitions, carpet tile installation, painting and electrical work. Minor demolition may be required. This would require the contractor to provide and install studs and gypsum wall board (1700 sf), provide and install 3/0 x 7/0 doors and frames to include hardware/lock sets (07 ea), install electrical outlets to include conduit, wire, devices, and miscellaneous materials (35 ea), install telephone boxes and conduits (14 ea), relocate existing ceiling mounted lights (04 ea), replace metal pan ceiling tiles (20 ea), patch holes in floor (30 ea), provide and install electrical conference board (01 ea), remove and relocate existing electrical conference board (01 ea), remove existing drapes (08 ea), painting to include walls, doors, and trim (10 bays), and install government provided carpet tiles (410 sy). A walk through is scheduled for August 21, 1996 at 10:00 a.m., at 1111 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. A copy of the Construction Specifications will be issued at the walk through site. All responsible sources who can provide the above requirements shall submit written quotations by 4:00 p.m. on September 5, 1996. All quotes shall include price(s); FOB point; a poc (name and telephone numbers); delivery date; business size and payment terms. Quotes over 10 pages in total will not be accepted by fascimile. No solicitation will be issued, therefore such request for solicitation will be considered non-responsive. All questions must be submitted in writing and received by fascimile 202/283-1511 or mail.
