The Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards AFB, California has a requirement for commercially available data acquisition systems. A Request For Quotation (RFQ) will be issued and awarded in accordance with FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). Award of the purchase order for this requirement will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. The requirement includes two contract line items (CLINs). CLIN 0001, three (3) each, data acquisition systems. The units will be used to record data associated with parachute testing, such as, 3-axis acceleromaters, straingage, pressure and airspeed. Each unit shall include the following minimum salient characteristics for technical acceptability: 1) minimum of 16-channel analog input (piezoelectric or resistive); 2) on board analog to digital and digital to analog conversion, with a minimum of 12-bit resolution, software selectable input sensitivity (25mV, 50mV, 5Vdc), channel by channel selectability, and minimum record rate of 200 samples per second; 3) maximum physical size of 4''W x 4''H x 8''L; 4) 8-16 volt battery power; 5) 100g shock load; 6) external triggering; 7) configurable, windows based software, which will be used to program the data acquisition system prior to parachute testing; 8) internal real-time clock; 9) 20MB non-volitile memory; 10) internal memory back-up in case of battery failure; 11) all electrical wire connectors shall be Cannon/Bendix type twist lock; 12) connector pin-out diagram; 13) 3-axis G-Meter, and 14) operator and technical manuals. CLIN 0002, one (1) job, on-site training on the operation and use of the system offered (estimated 8 hours). This SIC Code for this acquisition is 3829 and the Size Standard is 500 employees. Delivery is requested within 30 days after receipt of order. The acquisition has been 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
