66 -- C-ARM UPGRADE TO CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION SUITE SOL NHLBI-HL-P-96-112 POC Kathleen J. Van Steelant, Contracting Officer, (301) 435-0364. It is the intent of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) to purchase a digital imaging system for assembly and installation in the Laboratory of Animal Medicine and Surgery Cardiac Catheterization Suite. Following are the minimum specifications: 1) VIDEO INPUT: a) 2 inputs: camera VTR (or other device); b) Video line rate: 525,625 progressive. 1023, 1049 and 1249 are interlaced or progressive; c) Video input levels: 1 volt peak to peak composite, adjustable from 0.7 to 1.3 volts; d) A/D converter: 100 MHz 8 bit device; e) Sampling rate: Up to 50 MHz; and f) Signal to noise: 50 dB; 2) VIDEO OUTPUT: a) 2 outputs: Live cine, Fluoro, Loop Replay and Reference Images; b) Video line rate: 1023/1049 60Hz Interlaced, 1249 50Hz Interlaced; c) Video output levels: 1 volt peak to peak composite, adjustable from 0.7 to 1.3 volts. Independent look up table provided on each DCA output; d) Concurrent Low Lines Rate Output: Monitor 1 output (live fluoro, cine and loop images) also available as 525 line RSI 70 or 625 line CCIR output; 3) IMAGE STORAGE: a) Disk Storage - Real time disk (Gbyte per drive, expandable to 2 drives). Specifically, the successful offeror shall: 1) Dismantle and remove (dispose of) components not required for upgrade to the existing system; 2) Modify the tube crane assembly to accept 2 lateral carriages for support of monitor yoke radiation shield; 3) Provide and install new Acoma Iso-Arc C-Arm; 4) Mount X-Ray tube on to new C-Arm; 5) Mount new TV, Video, Cine components; 6) Install Digital Imaging System; 7) Reload existing X-Ray tube into replacement housing; 8) Reposition AP generator components in radiology suite; 9) Add Line Lock modification to existing Cine camera; 10) Interface generator with digital system and C-Arm; 11) Install new table; and 12) Calibrate system for on-line use. Proposals will be evaluated on the following: 1) The offeror's demonstrated ability to integrate partial or existing radiology equipment with new system components; 2) The offeror's demonstrated ability to integrate existing cine system to new digital video upgraded system; 3) The upgraded system shall provide image digitization with the ability for storage of images on video tape or laser disk; 4) Real-time imaging capabilities suitable for cardiac catheterization procedures; and 5) Completion of proposed upgrade within 120 calendar days after contract award. A firm fixed-price type contract will be negotiated. It is anticipated that Request for Proposals (RFP) Number NHLBI-HL-P-96-112 will be issued on or about August 23, 1996.
