This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. Solicitation Number N68307-96-Q-0001 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. The Standard industrial code is 3842 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for a fixed price contract for one line item as follows. Line Item 0001: Quantity 001 system; Item Description: AT&T Merlin Legend Electronic Key Telephone System to include (1) Legend DSS/B Console, (19) Legend MLX-B telephone sets, (26 Legend MLX 10D/B telephone sets, (1) Legend R3.0 Control Unit, (1) 4PRT Legend Mail and all associated hardware and software to effect a complete installation. Quotations shall include all costs for equipment, supplies and installation. Offerors may submit quotations for other telephone systems that are the equivalent of or better than the AT&T Merlin system described above.
