70 -- PCMCIA - GPIB CARDS EQUIPPED WITH DOS AND WINDOWS INTERFACE MODULE AND TWO METER CABLE, NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS PART NUMBER 57-01 SOL RFQ-60439 POC Michael J. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) #60439. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Standard Industrial Classification is 3571. This will be a Firm-Fixed contract. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate the contract action on a sole source basis with National Instruments, 6540 Bridge Point Parkway, Austin, TX, 78730-5039 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. National Instruments is the sole qualified supplier of this equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interest parties may submit a proposal in which they identify their interest and capability. All proposals received within 15 days of this notice will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The requirement consists of Eighty (80) each National Instruments brands PCMCIA - GPIB model 776857-01 compatible to sustain and augment existing TSCM operations cards equipped with DOS and Windows interface module and two meter cables that meet the following requirements: Compliant with PCMCIA PC card Standard 2.01 specifications; 16 bit PCMCIA bus interface with byte to word packing and unpacking; PCMCIA slot type: Type II form factor; IEEE 488.2 controller capable, providing GPIB transfers from 16 bit PCMCIA tranfers and errors detection; Drivers software must be National Instrument compatible using NI-488.2 specifications without use of jumpers or switches for configuration; NI-488.2 for DOS and Windows interface module; Application software - LabVIEW f/Windows, LabWindows/CVI, and LabWindows f/DOS; 2 meter cable; Documentation for the latest version of all currently installed hardware and software systems and updated system documentation and revisions as they become available; the Government shall be notified as soon as updated versions of the documentation item become available--Warranty 1 year or better --FOB--Quantico, VA--item shall be delivered 60 days from award date--All proposals shall be submitted to the address listed above no later than 3:30 PM EST, August 28, 1996. All bids shall be clearly marked with RFQ #60439. Award to be made approximately five (5) days after closing. The point of contact for all information regarding this acquisition is Mr. Michael J. Each offeror shall include a complete copy of the FAR provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications with its proposal. Technical acceptability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted by the offeror in response to this notice.
