The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Dataflow Technologies, Inc., 1300 York Road, Suite 30, Lutherville, MD 21093 the acquisition if perpetual licenses for software products, specialized hardware components and services for the expansion and enhancement of the Prototype Bar Code Tape Management System (BTAMS) tape library database system. The automation of the IRS's tape librarian functions at its mainframe tape libraries nationwide will include the database engine and structure and the application software and licenses for up to 60 workstations. The hardware to be acquired includes specialized barcode scanning and printing hardware and the hardware and software required to integrate these items with existing Government-owned PC workstations, IBM and Unisys tape management software and 10baseTP networks. The services will include installation and integration, training of Government personnel and maintenance at IRS locations nationwide for a base period and one option year.
