HAYNIE/804-279-3055 PR-NO: YPG9 99-REQUEST for infomation-notice of draft the defense Supply Center richmond(dscr), Richmond, Virginia, is seeking to establish a Long term contractual relationship to provide various aviation components (1560,1670,1680 FSC) currently on backorder status at this center to Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and its Federal customers. Contractor will be tasked with providing logistical support services, specifically to locate, facilitate source qualification, and supply to the government actual end-item spares currently on backorder status. Through on-line analysis of customer demands on backorder status, the contractor must develop a logistical support system, detailed procurement plan, and a managerial system capable of supporting agency requirements. Dscr seeks industry comments on a proposed draft solicitation to accomplish this END. In addition, dscr seeks industry comment on electronic commerce/electronic data interchange (ec/edi) systems currently in use or which may be developed for use with this initiative. As a result of this request for proposal(rfp) the government intends to make a single award to satisfy government requirements. All responsible sources capable of satisfying the GOVERNMENT'S needs are encouraged to provide comments.
