NASA Johnson Space Center is seeking information on available off-the-shelf air-borne or space-borne radar systems. The radar system will be used for spacecraft deployment and rendezvous applications. The radar system will be used to acquire and track large, slow-moving targets to a range of 20-30 nautical miles and over an angular uncertainty of +/-15 degrees. The radar must provide target angle, angle rate, range, and range-rate data to a space-borne data system. High grade commercial or Military Grade B parts are acceptable for this hardware (S-level parts are not required). Vendors who have existing designs or an existing product which is compatible with or easily adaptable to these requirements are preferred. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the ajudication of formal contract disputes.
