Q -- RADIOGRAPHIC SERVICES Sol RFP 790 due 083096 POC Judith Begay, Contract Specialist (602) 640-2079 or Rudolph Buckman, Supervisory Contract Specialist Notice is hereby given that the Phoenix Area Indian Health Service will enter into a noncompetitive acquisition with the Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, AZ. This is a demonstration project for the electronic transmission and interpretation of chest and bone x-rays for the Keams Canyon Service Unit (KCSU), Keams Canyon, AZ. The acquisition requirements are as follows: 1) The installation and maintenance, routine preventive and reparative, of the necessary digitalizing and computer hardware and accessories to accomplish the compression and preparation for transmission of the digitalized image in less than ten minutes time. 2) The ability to compare the original image of the x-ray (done at the KCSU) with the digitalized image transmitted over the existing phone lines. This may be done either electronically or by interpretation by separate radiologists. 3) The ability to read and interpret the x-rays 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and have a written record back to the KCSU, by FAX, within one working day for routine x-rays and within 90 minutes for emergency x-rays. (Routine or emergency status will be determined by the professional staff at the KCSU). The fee for the interpretation and transmission will be included in a separate document and should not be included in the cost of this acquisition. 4) Initial and ongoing training and assistance to the staff of the KCSU in the maintenance and use of the equipment installed at the Keams Canyon Hospital. 5) Be within commute distance of the Phoenix Area Office for frequent personal contact. Services are to be provided from date of award for one year with four (4) option years. Closing date for receipt of proposals is September 30, 1996, 4;30 P.M., local time.
