This is a full and open competitive procurement; the applicable SIC code is 8733. NASA intends to issue a solicitation on or about 29 August 1996. A one year with four one-year options, firm fixed price type contract is contemplated as a result of this solicitation. Contract support services will be required to provide (1) independent, expert analyses and assessments on space human factors which, by drawing upon international science and aerospace communities, shall reflect an international perspective; and (2) integrated analyses containing selected relevant data designed to facilitate, in a timely fashion, the decision making process of NASA managers in the Office of Life and Microgravity Sciences and Applications, the Office of External Relations, and the Office of Safety and Mission Assurance on programs and issues relevant to the NASA Human Exploration and Development of Space (HEDS) Enterprise.
