19 -- WATERCRAFT POC Contact, Robin Richards, (703) 784-5822, ext 232. The Marine Corps Systems Command is seeking information on the availability of commercially available watercraft for use in riverine operations. These watercraft will be used for troop transport, fire support and insertion/extraction. The system should carry ten combat loaded troops (where applicable) and meet the following performance criteria at a minimum: (1) Maintain a speed of 20 knots or greater, (2) Draw less than 1 foot of water, when loaded and on plane, (3) Mount an M-240G Medium Machine Gun, (4) Towable by a HMMWV or equivalent vehicle over unimproved roads, (5) Transportable by C-130 with it's prime mover (HMMWV), (6) Launch from unimproved ramps, (7) Ability to be beached and backed off without the aid of other craft, (8) Ability to operate in up to sea state 2. Information that is received will be used in a feasibility study. The submission of this information is for planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any items, nor for the Government to pay for the information received. Companies that are interested are requested to submit, (as a minimum) the following data: A general description of the article, to include materials, dimensions, performance data and methods of construction, logistics and provisioning data to include parts lists, maintenance schedules and manuals, Cost estimates, and Delivery schedules. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any evaluations.
