Center Propulsion Development System Office (ASC/LP), plans to place
an order for six (6) F110-GE-129 installs and five (6) spares, and five
(5) F110-GE-100B spares against the existing Indefinite
Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract awarded to General
Electric on 13 Apr 94. This Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract covers
users requirements of fighter weapon system platforms for both domestic
and Foreign Military Sales. Orders were planned in the basic contract.
The current acquisition encompasses combat aircraft production
engines, Engine Monitoring System Computers (EMSCs), data, and
warranty, and associated items including inspection and testing and
engine software, as specified for the F110-GE-129 by contract line item
numbers 0003, 0004, 0011, 0015, 0018, 0041, 0042, 0043 and 0044 and as
specified for the F110-GE-100B by contract line item numbers 0021,
0028, 0034, 0037, 0046, 0047 and 0049. The required engines are fully
developed, qualified, and have demonstrated the capability to support
the missions of users for DOD fighter aircraft currently utilizing the
F110-GE-129 & F110-GE-100B engines. The contractor is authorized to
receive and store classified material up to and including Secret
classification. The contractor receiving this award is classified as a
