65 -- BIORAD CK/LD ISOENZYME CONTROLS AND LYPHOCHEK URINE METAL CONTROLS (SIC 2835) SOL RFP 618-23-97 DUE 092496 POC Linda Kelly, Contracting Officer (612) 725-2183 Under Statutory Authority 41 USC 253(c)(1) the Government anticipates entering into a sole source procurement with Bio-Rad Laboratories of Hercules, CA for Bio-Rad Isoenzyme Controls Level I and Level II; Lyphochek TDM and Quantitative Normal and Abnormal Controls Level I and Level II; and Lyphochek Immunoassay Control Tri-Level. Product must have a 30 day stability after opening vial. The Lyphochek quantitative urine control shall consist of 74 constituents. Controls shall be a human CSF based control. It is anticipated that this will be a three year contract with a base year and two additional twelve-month options to renew. The above authority is cited and justification is made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be met by one source. Sole source negotiations will be conducted with Bio-Rad; however, all responsible sources who can provide items as listed above may respond by submitting a proposal furnishing detailed data and information concerning their capabilities to provide these items.
