Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for a digital scope with 4 channels, each channel digitized to 8 bits, each channel digitized at least 1 gigasample per second, each channel must have a memory depth of at least 1 megasample, the scope must have the capability of combing channels to provide 1 channel at a sampling rate of at least 4 gigasamples per second with a memory depth of at least 4 megasamples and the scope must accept either an external 10 MHz reference to allow clock synchronization or an external 500 MHz sample clock.
