The Army National Guard Readiness Center has a requirement for preventive and on- call maintenance for the Intrusion Detection System and Closed Circuit TV System for the period 1 Oct 96 through 30 Sep 97. Government expects to award a basic purchase order to MFS Technologies (formerly Kiewit Network Technologies) for the FY97 maintenance in order to maintain continuity in maintenance on working systems and the operational start up of remaining components. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, any interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. All requests received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Vendors will be required to submit a statement of capabilities by submitting a quotation to include technical data, pricing and any other information which shows a bona fide ability to meet the requirements. The Government will not pay for information received. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine to issue a solicitation. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended awardee and all firms who respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise submit a written request for a copy of the solicitation. No contract award will be made on the basis of any response to this notice. (0228)
