This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement M6700196QB513 is issued as a Request for Quotation and constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-38. The standard industrial (SIC) code for this acquisition is 7699 and the Small Business Size Standard is $3.5M. Contractor shall provide services required to replace parts on Model W19ST Load Rite Boat Trailers, Qty 41 Ea, located at Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune North Carolina 28542. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the boat trailers are located to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of the contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for claim after contract award. Listing of parts, to be replaced for each trailer, shall be available at the site visit. Offerors desiring a site visit should report to the Contracting Division, Bldg #1116, Administrative Office (1st floor), Camp Lejeune, NC on 27 Aug 96 at 1:00 P.M.: local time. Services to this contract shall be completed 90 days after award of contract. Inspection and acceptance will take place at Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC, F.O.B. Destination. Pick up and delivery of the trailers, accomplished by the Contractor, shall be at the Small Craft Company, Bldg #1707, Gum Street, Camp Lejeune NC 28542 and shall be coordinated with the Maintenance Officer.
