Legare (513-366-2015) The USEPA has a requirement for an
internationally recognized scientist with expertise in the area of
drinking water-related health effects, sanitary/environmental
engineering, drinking water disinfectants and byproducts, communicable
and noncomunicable disease epidemiology, waterborne disease outbreak
research, and risk assessment methods who willP: prepare a high quality
update and re-edit of a report entitled ''Workshop Report and
Recommendations for Conducting Epidemiologic Research and cancer
Exposure to Chlorinated Drinking Water''; prepare a high quality,
written review of the literature on reproductive and developmental
effects, in both humans and experimental animals, associated with
exposure to chlorinated drinking water and chemical by-products of
disinfection (DBPs); and provide ongoing expert review of NCEA-Cin
scientific research protocols and projects on comparative risk for
drinking water disinfectants and DBPs, includingrisk assessment
methodologies for waterborne microbial pathogens. The tasks are highly
inter-related intellectually and their successful completion requires
theservices of an expert with an in-depth understanding of the broad
spectrum of problems associated with achieving an acceptable balance
between acceptable levels of DBPs and pathogenic microorganisms in
