The work and services to be performed consists of the repair and regrading of a 14.6 acre portion of the spillway to provide weathering protection for key rock layers. 20,000 tons of rockfill will be grouted in place to provide hard armoring in specific erosion areas. The repair will involve the excavation and recompaction of 70,000 cubic yards of shale material. An 1,100 linear foot concrete lined ditch will also be included in the repairs. Solicitations will be issued on or about 26 August 1996. Bids will be opened on or about 26 September 1996. Estimated cost of the proposed acquisition is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Estimated completion time is 180 days. SIC is 1629, small business size standard is $17 million. This acquisition is issued on an unrestricted basis.
