THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION DOCUMENT; BIDS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A SOLICITATION BOOKLET WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation No. CSI-750-970-01 is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. The parts requested are engine parts, GENERAL MOTORS, Type EMD-12-645E2, Models RR-12-645E2 and LL-12-645E2, Serial Nos. 68-B1-1068, 68-B1-1057, 68-C1-1041 and 68-C1-1066, 1500 HP, 900 RPM. Bidders shall provide unit prices and extended amounts for each of the following items: ITEM NO. 1: Gear, 30 tooth blower drive, P/N 9085100, Quantity: 2 each. ITEM NO. 2: Power Pack, New Blade, in a metal container and protected with preservative for extended tropical storage. Supplier to furnish serial number of cylinder liner and head on invoice. Power Assembly P/N 40032431, 18 to 1 compression ratio with hardened ring groove tin plated piston, Quantity: 24 each. ITEM NO. 3: Power Pack, New, Fork, in metal container and protected with preservative for extended tropical storage. Supplier to furnish serial number of cylinder liner and head on invoice. Shipment is to be securely braced or strapped to prevent shifting and damage during transportation. The shipment shall be marked with the words ''PANAMA CANAL COMMISSION'' followed by the contract number. This differential is the equivalent of $155 per measurement ton of 40 cubic feet (MTON) from LA to Panama.
