DADA08) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items
prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation
number DADA08-96-B-0011 applies and is issued as an Invitation For Bids
(IFBs). This combined synopsis/solicitation and incorporated provisions
and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular
90-38 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-10. The standard industrial
classification code is 2836 and the business size is 500 employees.
Contractor shall furnish and deliver Merck Sharp & Dohme, Measles and
Rubella Vaccine, Brandname: M-R-VAX II '' OR EQUAL'' to the Moncrief
Army Community Hospital, Fort Jackson, SC 29207-5720. The effective
period of this contract will include a base period and four (4) one (1)
year option periods with an additional option to extend deliveries for
up to six (6) months after contract expiration date. Vaccines for the
base year and each option period shall be delivered as follows: 39
vials (50 doses) shall be delivered between the 1st - 5th working day
of each month for the first eleven months of the base year and each
option period with 40 vials (50 doses) on the twelfth month of the base
year and each option period. Offerors shall provide pricing for the
base year and each option period. Offers for the base year and the
