POC Contract Specialist Cynthia A. Ford (520) 328-6357 (Site Code
DAAD01) The US Army Yuma Proving Ground intends to negotiate and award
a three year requirements contract on a sole source basis with
Spectral Dynamics Incorporated, 1983 Concourse Drive, San Jose, CA
95131 for the purpose of procuring four Digital Vibration Control
Systems and obtaining trade-in credit on a combination of eight Genrad
and Spectral Dynamics Vibration Control Test Systems (Genrad, formerly
a Division of Spectral Dynamics, is now only doing business as Spectral
Dynamics). Primary application will be simulation of tracked vehicle
sweeping narrowband random on broadband random vibration spectrum and
simulation of the helicopter vibration environment of the US Army
equipment and material. Secondary application will be simulation of
sinusoidal, gunfire, and shock dynamic environments, which will be
Government exercised contract options. Systems shall have a minimum of
90 dB of output control dynamic range for randomized signal and 90 dB
for sinusoidal signal. These Digital Vibration Control Systems must be
interchangeable with existing Genrad/Spectral Dynamics Systems.
Spectral Dynamics owns all proprietary data relative to the existing
Genrad/Spectral Dynamics systems and, therefore, compatible equipment
can only be purchased from same. All responsible sources may submit a
