70 -- COMPUTER INTEGRATED STROBOSCOPY SYSTEM SOL 626-38-96-JO DUE 090996 POC Jack Oakes (90F) 615-327-5311 This is a Notice Of Intent to negotiate a Sole Source Contract with Kay Elementrics Corporation, 2 Bridgewater Lane, Lincoln Park, NJ 07035-1488 under the authority of FAR 6.302 for a Computer Integrated Stroboscopy System. This system will be used for diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the human larynx and associated structures/system. Assessments will be made on the dynamic vibratory patterns of rapidly oscillating vocal folds and video recording will take place on the oscillations that will allow further in-depth analysis and individual patient archiving on this computer based system. DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS TO BE ACQUIRED: (1)- Rhino-Laryngeal Stroboscope, halogen and xexon (strobe) light source; (2)-Rigid Endoscope (70 degrees) that attaches to strobe light source; (3)-CCD Camera, S-VHS 5 lux that will attach to endoscope and video recorder; (4)-35mm lens w/eyepiece adapter for rigid scope; (5)-Flexible Endoscope adapter for connection to Olympus scope; (6)-S-VHS Video Recorder with PC interface; (7)-Formatted S-VHS video cassettes; (8)-Multimedia computer system for control and integration of stroboscope consisting of as a minimum a 486DX4, 850 MB HD, 4MB RAM, Tape Back-Up System, Dual Mode (VGA & Video) 17'' monitor, Multi-Media Hardware/Software, Pitch, Text, Intensity and EGG Display; (9)-Color Printer 4''x3'' SVHS and VGA images; (10)-14 gauge steel cart to house components; (11)-Isolation Transformer to maintain leakage to levels less than 50 micro amps; (12)-Printer paper; (13-Service Manuals that include parts lists and schematics; (14)-Three year extended warranty. (15)-Installation and Training. This Notice Of Intent is not a Request For Competitive Proposals however, all proposals received by September 9, 1996 will be considered by the government. Information received as a result of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
