The U.S. Postal Service will conduct a limited competition for the design, development and fabrication of a prototype Postal Transaction Machine (PTM) under the USPS Next Generation Self Service System and Equipment Development Program. This purchase will include an option for a limited quantity built for the accepted prototype units for market testing, technical and field service support for the market test and the delivery of a level II, Technical Data Package to conduct competition production of the PTM. Any contract awarded as a result of this competition will include Conflict of Interest provisions precluding the design and development any contractor participating in the design and development of the PTM from the production competition. It is contemplated this competition will result in mutiple awards and any resuliting award will be a cost reimbursment completion contract. There is no solicitation available.
